Academic background, research stays and professional experience.
Hi! Welcome to my personal webpage. I completed my bachelor’s and master’s studies in pure and applied mathematics in 2013. Then, I did my PhD in applied mathematics and robotics at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), where I developed several geometric and numerical methods to deal with two classical problems in robot kinematics: inverse kinematics and singularity identification.
After finishing my PhD in 2018, I moved to Italy to work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Advanced Robotics Department of the Italian Institute of Technology. There, I complemented my background by learning about industrial robotics, automation and applied machine learning.
From 2021 to 2022, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of KU Leuven, Belgium, where I applied my previous background to the development of robotic strategies for the optimal disassembly of electric and electronic devices. In particular, I geometrically characterized both the objects to be disassembled and the obstacles present in the workspace in order to compute optimal obstacle-free trajectories for the robot to execute its tasks. I also began to apply data-driven and artificial intelligence techniques to robotic manipulation.
In December 2022, I returned to UPC as a Maria Zambrano postdoctoral fellow, where my research focused on the development of learning methods for robotic manipulation in complex scenarios, integrating perception, reasoning, planning, grasping, and monitoring. In September 2023, I took up a position as Assistant Professor of Robotics and Computer Vision at UPC, and since June 2026, I have held the position of Associate Professor of Robotics and Computer Vision.

Research stays abroad
- January - April 2017, University of Cambridge. Visiting scholar at the Department of Engineering of the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Prof. Joan Lasenby. The research focused on exploring the use of conformal geometric algebra in robot kinematics.
